What is Rotaract?
Rotaract is at its basic form a junior Rotary
club. A grassroots level program of Rotary International that encourages
young professionals to create their own local operations, employ the
resources of Rotary International and the Rotary International Foundation,
and be sponsored by a local Rotary club. There are currently more than 7,600
Rotaract clubs in 158 countries with an estimated membership of over

Who is the Rotaract Club of
Birmingham?
Rotaract attracts and develops Birmingham's talented young professionals into community leaders. Know that whenever you meet a member of Rotaract, they have already demonstrated integrity and a capacity for leadership in both their professions and in the community. Rotaract has a growing membership of roughly 120 young professionals from over twenty different industries and careers. Return to Top
When does
Rotaract meet?
Rotaract meets on the first and third Tuesday of every month for lunch and
to host a leadership speaker. We also come together at least once a month
for a social event, engage in different service project once per quarter,
and maintain an ongoing signature service project. Return to

Where does the
Rotaract Club of Birmingham meet?
Lunches are downtown at the Harbert Center (www.harbertcenter.com),
on the second floor. Our socials and service projects showcase various spots

Why does the
Rotaract Club of Birmingham exist?
The RCB exists to promote what we believe is a
community’s most valuable resource: responsible leadership. This club allows
Birmingham’s promising young professionals the opportunity to better
understand, embody, and promote the characteristics of responsible

What is Rotary?
Rotary International is the largest global
network of community volunteers in the world. Rotary is a worldwide
organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian
service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build
goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong

What is the Rotary Foundation?
The Rotary Foundation provides financial support
to the efforts of Rotary International in the fulfillment of the Object of
Rotary, Rotary's mission, and the achievement of world understanding and
peace through local, national, and international humanitarian, educational,
and cultural programs. Founded in 1917, the Rotary Foundation has grown from
an initial contribution of $26.50 to today annually funding more than $55
